Poetry About Our Humanity

Who are we? Are we free?

In reference to the series of poems about our humanity

Poetry is a domain that allows us to look at the world in an abstract way that allows us to better understand the concrete reality. Poetry can serve as a doorway to aspects of our world that one might not otherwise bother to look at.

Poetry is not a frontier of science. It is a frontier of discovery nonetheless. Like art and music, it is a gate to the heart which needs to be enriched with beholding the beauty of our world, and the beauty of our strength to face ugliness.

With poetry we can explore the dimensions of ourselves that define our humanity, such as who we are, whether we are free?

A short series of 'doorway' poems has been created for this series, designed to make the reader proud of our world and the vast range it encompasses?
